Geoff Burke

Geoff was brought up on a sheep and beef farm in New Zealand and graduated from Massey University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Studies (Agricultural Business) and from Lincoln University in 1997 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Biological Husbandry).

He has worked for the Organic Research Centre at Elm Farm for a number of years as Organic Farm Adviser, Business Development Manager and as Managing Director of the Organic Arable Marketing Group and was also involved with the creation and establishment of the Organic Seed Producers company.

Most recently he has been involved with farm management and conversion of a large beef, sheep and deer property in New Zealand, as well as advising and managing a small 'care farm' type operation. Geoff was also a member of the AgriQuality Organic Certification Committee (NZ). Geoff has also been involved with SRI (sustainable and responsible investment) and prior to completing his post graduate work in 1997 spent 6 years in the City of London.

Now living in the UK, Geoff is currently working with Mark Measures Associates in areas such as farm advisory, business management, research and marketing. He has a particular interest in mixed farming, diverse livestock systems, pasture/grassland and breeding/selection for organic relevant performance.
